My 8-Year-Old Ex-Boyfriend Wants Me to Shave Him, Shower Together, and Steals My Leggings!

Blurb:

When Caleb - my emotionally distant ex - shows up at my door with childhood amnesia and a $100k caregiving check, I become his "Master" in this hilarious forced proximity romance. Between shaving his beard, battling shower etiquette ("You shouldn't strip naked in front of ladies!"), and finding my leggings mysteriously missing, the ice-cold CEO now acts like an eight-year-old calling me "Chubby" in his contacts. But when late-night cuddle demands and brain hemorrhage recovery plans blur our lines, can I survive two months of parenting my grown ex while Alina's medical secret hangs over us?

My ex-boyfriend had been hit on the head by a falling object, and his intellect was equivalent to an eight-year-old child.
For the sake of money, I complied with his request to shave his beard.
He said that he wanted to be hugged and kissed for a good night like the other children on TV. I bore with his demands.
Afraid of the dark night, he wanted to sleep with me on my bed. Once again, for the sake of money, I went with him.
However, I couldn’t stand that he stole my leggings!
------------
Late in the evening, Alina took Caleb to my apartment. She handed the certificate of diagnosis over to me and said, "My brother was in a coma for 30 days after being hit by a falling object. When he woke up, we found that he had lost most of his memories and his current intellect is equivalent to that of an eight-year-old."
I was shocked by this news when I asked, "What does that have to do with me? It’s not my fault!"
Alina continued, "He was found lying on the ground next to your building."
I argued, "That can't prove that I did it!"
Alina said, "There must be a reason for him to come here back then. Maybe he wanted to get back together with you."
As I calmed down from the shock, I denied the claim, "That’s impossible."
Caleb was a cold and indifferent man. We were no more than ordinary friends over the course of our one-year relationship. He had never taken the initiative to get close to me. Unlike those couples in love, I had only received a few handfuls of kisses or hugs from him.
A few months ago, I had wept as I spoke to Caleb, "I mean nothing to you. You don't even know my birthday. I only learned from your friend that you were in the hospital because you got pneumonia. I wonder if you need me as your girlfriend at all."
Back then, Caleb had looked at me with a frown. It seemed to me that he was confused by the fact that I was throwing a temper over such a trivial thing.
At that moment, I had felt that I was behaving too dramatically. I wiped my tears away and told him that I didn't like him anymore and that I wanted to break up with him.
Caleb didn’t even try to make me stay.
It truly was impossible for him to want to take me back.
"The doctor said that he has some haemorrhages in his brain which affected his cerebral activities. It is possible that he can fully recover once the haemorrhage is dissolved. The doctor suggested that during this period, we’d better have someone or something to stimulate his brain to accelerate the process." Then Alina added, "That’s why I came to you. I believe that he was coming to see you before the accident happened."
"Maybe he was just passing by..." I tried to find an excuse.
Alina asked, "You two were once lovers. Don't you want him to get better?"
I hesitated as I said, "Of course, I wish the best for him. But..."
Alina took out a check and said, "Here is a 100,000 dollar check. If you could take good care of Caleb during the next two months, it will be all yours."
"Deal," I took the check from Alina and agreed.
Smiling, she then handed a suitcase to me as she gestured towards Caleb who stood in front of me. She said, "Some of his necessities and clothes are in the suitcase. If you need anything else, please let me know. I’ll pay for it."
Looking at Caleb standing quietly aside, I nodded.
I close the door behind Alina, leaving only me and my ex-boyfriend who had the intellect of an eight-year-old in the apartment.
Caleb didn't respond to my inquisitive looks as I studied him for quite a while.
He looked at me as if he was his old self. I wondered if this was how he acted when he was out of his mind.
Tentatively, I asked, "Do you know who I am, Caleb?"
He answered, "You are my new nanny."
"D*mn it," I cursed to myself as I continued, "No, I am your master."
He paused for a long while before he asked, "Master?"
"Yes, it means that from now on, you have to listen to me and serve me. You shall do whatever I ask," I said.
He bit his lips as if he found my request a bit too hard to understand.
I comforted him with a pat on his shoulder as I added, "Don't be afraid, I won't bully you."
He smiled as he agreed, "Okay then."
I couldn’t believe that it was so easy to fool him.
I found my backup pillow and a thin quilt. I threw them on the sofa as I told Caleb, "You will sleep here."
